John "Danny" Wesley Daniel Tester III aka Dad, Granddad and Uncle Danny passed away April 8, 2021 surrounded by his family. Danny was born on December 10, 1946. He grew up in Hyattsville, Md and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1964. He would often spend summers and weekends in Shannondale, WV where he met Jeanne, his wife of 54 yrs, at the age of sixteen.

Danny worked for the Federal Government at the Office of Personnel Management as a computer programmer and systems analyst for 39 years. After retiring he continued to be active in his family's lives and in the community of Cape Saint Claire. Danny always took the scenic route through life and knew how to find fun in everything. He was the quiet strength of our family, someone we could always count on and who loved making his grandchildren laugh in his unexpected, goofy way. He was creative and artistic - turning unwanted items into works of art. He will be remembered for his gentle smile, magical storytelling, appreciation of nature and devotion to family.

His memory and kind heart will live on in his wife Jeanne; children Jimmy, Joy, Amye and David; grandchildren Ella, Jack, Sam and Wesley; siblings Carol and Eugene, many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Donations in Danny's memory can be made to Goshen Farm Preservation Society, Inc or a favorite charity.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
