On August 23rd, 2017, our beloved father, Clarence "Andy" Elmer Andrews, peacefully sailed away to be with his lovely wife, Jane Frances Hynan Andrews. He was the son of Emma Sophia Ramming and Frederick Adreon Andrews. He was born on July 28th, 1928 in Baltimore, MD. Andy was a 1945 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He served in the USAF 1950-54 and was discharged as 1st Lieutenant. Andy began working at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in 1954 as a specialist in Strategic Systems Programs and later Fleet Ballistic Missile systems, where he met his beloved wife Jane Hynan; they wed in 1958. From 1959 onward, he worked in analysis of the Polaris, Poseiden, and Trident Strategic Weapon Systems. He was appointed to the Principal Professional Staff of APL. In 1994, Andy retired as Strategic Systems Department Program Manager for Advanced Systems. Andy enjoyed his work immensely and found great friendships in his co-workers and the JHU/APL golf league members. Andy is survived by his children, William Andrews (m.Shelley), Susan Krisch (m.
