Zella Loetz Caplan, 85, a 21 year resident of Arnold, MD, died at home on November 23, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 7, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was raised, and graduated from Southern High in Baltimore.
Mrs. Caplan lived in Locust, NC for eleven years, Baltimore City, Reisterstown, MD for three years, and Baltimore Highlands for three years, prior to residing in Arnold for 21 years.
She was a retired salesperson from Kitchen Bazaar and she enjoyed reading and cooking.
Mrs. Caplan was preceded in death by her first husband, Hal Jenkins who passed away in 1980 and her second husband, Edward Caplan, who passed away in 1987. In addition, she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Jenkins and her sister, Eleanor Lamartina.
Survivors include her son, John Jenkins of Denver, NC and her daughter, Cathy Ulrich of Arnold, MD.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, November 25 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 26 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD
