William G. Wells, 83, died on December 4, 2008 of natural causes, after a lengthy illness, at Peartree House Assisted Living in Pasadena.

He was born on March 24, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was raised, and lived in Arnold, MD for over 50 years.

Mr. Wells retired from Westinghouse as a test technician on numerous radar systems.
He served in the South Pacific during WWII and fought in The Liberation of Philippines. He received a Double Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

He enjoyed his hobbies, including electronics and bird watching and loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Wells, whom he married on December 18, 1947 and who passed away in 1997, and preceded in death by his sisters, Molly Pfisterer and Dolores Handshu and his brother, John Wells.

Survivors include two sons, William P. Wells of Millersville, MD and Robert P. Wells of Severna Park, MD; two granddaughters, Christina Savillo and Jessica Wells; and two sisters, Christina Lewis of Baltimore, MD and Margaret Hurtt of Baltimore, MD.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, December 8 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 09 at 10 AM .
Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
