William Edward Valente of Arnold, MD passed away peacefully on October 17, 2021, at the age of 88.

Son of the late William and Irene Valente, William was born in Philadelphia, PA. on October 13, 1933. Graduating from John Bartram High School before attending the University of Maryland College Park where he graduated with his bachelors. He went on to work for GE, Liskey Aluminum and various other contractors at the Goddard Space Flight Center.

William belonged to the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity of the University of Maryland College Park and well as St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, gardening and watching baseball.

Husband of 53 years to Diana Valente, father of Jennifer Lahtinen (Matthew) of Arnold and Dana Opalinsky (Isaac) of Severna Park, brother of Rosemary Valente of West Chester, PA, Renee Gorman of West Chester, PA, June McLean of Lake Geneva WI and the late Anthony Valente of Wallingford, PA. Brother in Law to Kathy Valente of Wallingford, PA.  Loving Grandfather of Rhodes Opalinsky, August Opalinsky and Logan Lahtinen.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at 11:30am at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment with honors at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
