Williams R. Stallings, 80, a resident of Severna Park for 39 years died of heart failure at Anne Arundel Medical Center on June 3, 2008.

Mr. Stallings was born on March 9, 1928 in Concord, NC. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict between 1950 and 1952. Mr. Stallings married his wife Marilyn L. (Holmsted) in 1955. He worked as an accountant at Westinghouse Electric Corp of Annapolis for over 20 years, retiring in the late 1980's.

Mr. Stallings was a member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church and was involved with various senior organizations through Anne Arundel Community College. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, beach trips to the Outer Banks, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Stallings is survived by his wife Marilyn L. Stallings; one son Mark R. Stallings of San Jose, CA; two daughters, Sharon A. Duncan of Annapolis, and Donna E. Stallings of Severna Park; and 7 grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 5-7 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P. A., Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD. A funeral service will be held at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church on Friday at 12:00 noon. The interment will follow at Druid Ridge Cemetery in Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake 445 Defense Highway Annapolis, MD 21401.
