Survived by his daughter Terri Gable (husband Danny Gable) 3 grand daughters, 4 step grand daughters 1 great grandson.
Also survived by his partner of 15 years, Lynn Mander, her children Keith and Dawn (husband Rex) and 2 dachshunds.
Bill was battling a mysterious illness that the doctors could not diagnose that increasingly got worse.
Bill was pre-deceased by his parents, Bill & Irene Smith, his son Billy,III, and a baby daughter that died at birth.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts and grew up in Brooklyn, MD graduating from Brooklyn Park High School in 1960. He and his Dad created Brooklyn Refrigeration where he worked most of his working career. He dabbled in real estate properties and politics. In 1973 he served as a Deputy Sheriff of Anne Arundel County. He played the drums in a band called the Amoebas and a few other bands. He was a power boater and loved to have a good time.
He was a member of White RocksYacht club, served as Commodore for 2 years and 3C'S Commodore's Club. He had an antique car collection and was part of Street Survivors car club and Vintage Tin for 15 years. Bill was a lifetime member of the Elks Club.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday September 17, 2024 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at 10:30am at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
