William John Selckmann, 80, of Crownsville, died May 26 at North Arundel Hospital from complications after a hip fracture.
Born April 28, 1925, in Baltimore, Mr. Selckmann served in the Army during World War II and was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium.
He retired from Lindley Packaging Co.
Mr. Selckmann was a member of American Legion Post 40 and enjoyed fishing, boating and baseball.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Elizabeth Selckmann; three children, Janet A. Johnson of Glen Burnie, Paul T. Selckmann of Stevensville and Karen A. Selckmann of Annapolis; one brother, James Selckman of Pasadena; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
