William N. Scherer, Sr., 94, of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 26, 2016 at Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Bill was born on April 27, 1922 in Baltimore and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was an attorney for over 50 years and a former Director of the Bank of Glen Burnie.
Bill had a passion for tennis and was a member of Chartwell Country Club for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marian L. Scherer (nee Leybold) of Glen Burnie; his children, William Norwood Scherer, Jr. of Pasadena, MD, Degn Evan Scherer and Lee Robert Scherer, both of Billings, MT. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 5 pm-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, with a Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
Memorial Contributions may be made to One's favorite charity.
