William Gustav Rasch, II, 97, of Severna Park, MD passed away at his residence on December 25, 2018.

William was born to his parents George and Phebe Beaumont Rasch on August 6, 1921 in Baltimore, MD, where he was raised.  He graduated high school from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and later from The Johns Hopkins University in 1948 where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi for Engineering Excellence.  William was employed with, and partner at, Purdum and Jeschke Engineers for 32 years.  In addition, he served in the United States Army from 1942-1945 and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He enjoyed wood carving and serving as a volunteer leader in his Church.  William was an avid Orioles fan.

He is survived by his wife, Joan G. Rasch; his son, William G. Rasch, III (Catherine) of Evansville, IN; his daughter, Elizabeth K. Rasch (Randall Keyser) of Reston, VA; his son, Rick Grindrod (Laura) of Severna Park; his grandchildren, William G. Rasch, IV, David R. Grindrod, Elizabeth Blakely Little, Caroline L. Grindrod, Rebekah Abigail Holman, Rachael Keyser, and Jordan Keyser; as well as, his great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace Holman  and Julianna Louise Holman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Scales Rasch and his daughter, Jennifer Grindrod.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29 ^th from 10 -11 am, with a memorial service to follow at 11am at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road.  Interment will be held at 10:45 on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Crownsville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www2.heart.org
