On August 9, 2025, William George Pollock, Sr., beloved husband of the late Patricia J. Pollock (née Snowden), and son of the late William and Lillian Pollock of Brooklyn, Maryland, passed away after a short illness.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Snowden, on June 24, 1961. After years of vacationing in Cape St. Claire with his parents, the couple chose to make it their permanent home, planting roots there for over 61 years.

He cherished time spent having cookouts in the alley with close friends Lois and Jack, and Arlene and Sonny—it was truly one big family. Bill especially loved eating crabs and watching NASCAR in "Bill's Shack."

Together, Bill and Patricia raised two sons: William (Billy) Pollock, Jr. and Patrick Pollock Cantler. He worked for 41 years at Aramark Vending Services, where he made many lifelong friends. The role suited him perfectly, as he loved to talk.

Summers were often spent time-sharing with extended family in Ocean City, Maryland, where he enjoyed flounder fishing with the boys and granddad, listening to Doo-Wop on the beach, and ending the days driving through Assateague Island to spot the wild horses.

After Patricia's passing, Bill joined his sister and brother-in-law on motorhome trips to Lake Okeechobee, Florida, where he eventually settled. He found peace there, soaking up the sun, feeding the birds, and enjoying the company of his dear friends Pam and Terry.

He is survived by his two sons: William George Pollock, Jr. (Jackie) of Abingdon, MD, and Patrick Edward Pollock Cantler (Dianna) of Ridgely, MD; five grandsons: William, Corey (Andrea), Patrick, Jeff (Pennie), and Christopher; one granddaughter, ChristyLee (Eric); and five great-grandchildren: Rylan, Kaedyn, Avery, Elise, and Paige.

He is also survived by two sisters: Kathleen Sheldon (Pollock) of Seaford, DE, and Christina Carpenter of Crescent Beach, FL; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may visit Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146 on Tuesday, August 26 from 6:00–8:00 PM, and Wednesday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, with a service to follow. A gathering will be held afterward at the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse from 1:00–4:00 PM. Private interment will take place at a later date.
