February 2, 1953 – December 18, 2005
William Douglas "Doug" Neice, 52, a resident of Pasadena for 22 years, died Dec. 18 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a long illness. The cause of death is unavailable.
Born Feb. 2, 1953, in Pearisburg, Va., Mr. Neice was the son of Jane Neice of Glen Burnie and the late William Roy Neice. He moved to Baltimore at the age of 17 and served in the Army Signal Corps as a lineman while stationed in Germany.
He worked as a technician for Vitality Beverage Service, from which he was on disability for the past three years.
His interests included watching old movies, fishing, camping and playing cards. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Odd Fellows and the Masons.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Wanda L. Neice; two daughters, Sarah Neice of Pasadena and Shirley Clapp of Glen Burnie; one brother Wayne Neice of Pasadena; three sisters, Janet Robertson of Richmond, Va., and Kathy Hill and Melissa VanSkyver, both of Glen Burnie; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
