William (Bill) R. Lowery, 66, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, died February 23rd, 2013 surrounded by family at his home in Cape St. Claire.

Bill was born January 11th, 1947 in Annapolis to his late parents George and Evelyn Lowery. He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1965. Bill married his high school sweetheart Doris Mae Price in1966. After high school, Bill voluntarily joined The Navy where he served for 6 years during The Vietnam War. After his service to his country, Bill worked at Safeway for 30 years. He retired from Safeway and volunteered at The Cape St. Claire Firehouse as an EMT while owning and operating a Snyder's Pretzel route in Anne Arundel County. He was a charter member of the Broadneck Elks, a member of the American Legion Post 175, and a member of the Annapolis Moose Club.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death on July 12th, 2011 by his oldest son Kevin William Lowery.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Doris Lowery, daughter Kelly Lowery, son Kris Lowery, daughter in-law Jackie Lowery, granddaughter Julia Robinson, grandson Kristopher Lowery, and mother in-law Doris Price.

There will be visitation from 6pm-8pm Thursday February 28th at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 1st at 10am at the funeral home. Burial services to follow at 11:30am at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
