William Lee Wright

September 4, 1965 – October 12, 2018

William (Billy) Wright, 53, a resident of Severna Park, died on October 12, 2018 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake, Mandrin House, following complications of injuries sustained in an accident 11 years ago.

He was born on September 4, 1965 in Dunoon, Scotland.  His father was in the U.S. Navy so he lived in various locations before settling in Arnold then Severna Park, MD.

Billy was in the Anne Arundel school system and graduated in 1983.  He was an accomplished carpenter, and worked in all aspects of the construction trade.

Billy enjoyed the outdoors and would often go camping and hiking.  He was an avid sports enthusiast and played on a softball team and enjoyed golfing with family and friends.  Besides playing sports, he was a diehard Washington Redskins fan and followed the team through good times and bad.  He followed NASCAR and rooted for Jeff Gordon (24).

Survivors include his mother, Joyce C. Wright of Severna Park and sister Lillian Brouillard of Millersville.  He was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Wright of Severna Park and brother James T. Wright of Dandridge, TN.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 10-11am at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie, Hwy in Severna Park.  A funeral service will be held at 11am at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Glen Burnie, MD.
