William Jordan

William Robert Jordan, 77, of Arnold, died July 23 of complications of a neurological disorder at Future Care-Chesapeake in Arnold after a three-month illness.

Mr. Jordan was born July 21, 1928, and reared in Johnstown, Pa. He lived in Brooklyn Park for two years.

He retired as a supervisor after 30 years with Chevron. He then worked at the Naval Academy as a maintenance mechanic for 21 years.

Mr. Jordan enjoyed fishing, boating, taking cruises and playing cards.

Surviving are his wife, Joan R. Jordan; two daughters, Sandra Lee Painter of Arnold and Sharon Jordan Grier of Ellicott City; one son, William Joseph Jordan of Arnold; two brothers, Wayne and Danny Jordan, both of Arnold; and 15 grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Ricky A. Jordan and the brother of the late Charles Jordan.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park.
