William "Bailey" Jones III, 46, a resident of the Severna Park & Annapolis areas died unexpectedly on June 23, 2008 in his home in Riva, MD.
Born July 31, 1961 in Annapolis, Maryland, Mr. Jones was the son of Virginia Louise Carson Jones of Severna Park and the late Wesley Norwood Jones, who passed away in 1990. He is survived by his older brothers, Wesley "Kit" Jones of Riva, Ransom Sanders Jones, Sr. of Arnold and his older sister, Annie Bailey Jones-Cox of Severna Park. His older brother Walter Holmes Jones passed away September 19, 2007.
Reared in Severna Park, he graduated from Severna Park High School where he was coached by Andrew Borland in competitive weight lifting and won several awards. He also attended Anne Arundel Community College.
He worked as a general handy man, computer and security systems technician, and had a number of trade certifications. Bailey was known for the pleasure he took in helping others solve problems.
His activities and interests included fishing, boating, playing the guitar and he had a great passion for science.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12th at the New Covenant Church, 365 Jones Station Road in Arnold. The service will be followed by a lunch reception. Burial is private.
