William "Bill" John Turcovski, 52, a resident of Severna Park for twenty years, died on May 7, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.

Bill was born on September 30, 1960 in Altoona, PA where he was raised. He graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1978 and from Penn State University in 1982 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he moved to Maryland, residing in Columbia, Ellicott City, Glen Burnie, Pasadena, and then finally Severna Park.

Mr. Turcovski started his career as an Electrical Engineer with Northrop Grumman (formerly Westinghouse) in 1982 where he later became an Engineering Manager. His hobbies included gardening, bicycling, and antiquing. In addition, Bill thoroughly enjoyed annual vacations to Hawaii and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Joan J. (Bieniek) Turcovski of Altoona, PA; his brothers, Robert Turcovski (Lori) of Altoona, PA and James Turcovski (Dawn) of North Huntingdon, PA; his sisters, Linda Turcovski of Altoona, PA, Debra Henry (Dale) of Altoona, PA, Cheryl Sedon (Peter) of Frederick, MD, Susan Turcovski of Dallas, TX and Michelle Turcovski of Scottdale, PA; as well as, twelve nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Paul Turcovski in 2007.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, May 13th at 1:00 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, May 20th 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima, 5519 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, with interment to follow.
