William Charles Hancock….. passed away December 2, 2011, at his home in Brooklyn Park, MD. His death was caused by a pulmonary embolism.
He was born August 16, 1963 in Syracuse, New York. He was a 1986 graduate of Towson University and worked in earlier years as a certified substance abuse counselor for several health agencies in Maryland. Bill was a very caring person who felt deeply about other people and who was a dedicated animal lover.
He was the son of Ruth Hancock of Severna Park and the late Charles V. Hancock. He is survived by his mother, his sisters Christine (Hancock) Witkin, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Susan (Hancock) Englund, of Cooper City, Florida. Other survivors include Steven Dunn, Gerald Hancock, Gary Englund, Phil Witkin, Joseph Trolz and Anna Witkin. A memorial service will be held at a future date yet to be determined. Burial will be at the Stevensonville cemetery.
The family extends its gratitude to Bill's many friends for their loyalty and support, especially Rob, Val, Tom, Scott, Todd and Pastor Paul.
