William "Bill" Gunther, 82, a resident of Centreville and formerly of Severna Park, died on September 10, 2011.

Born on March 9, 1929 in Baltimore, MD and was raised in Severn. Bill worked for McCormick Spice Company for over 20 yrs. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family, fishing and especially on the golf course. Bill was a Korean War Veteran, a member of the VFW Post #7464 and a Mason

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Gunther; father of Susan Howe (William) of Stevensville, MD, William P. Gunther, Jr. (Janice) of Centreville, MD and Barbara Hardman (Bret) of Davidsonville, MD. Brother of May Murphy of Boonsboro, MD. Grandfather of Robbie, Heather, Katie, Matt, Trey and Maddie.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, September 13 from 6-8:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:30pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD.
