Duling
August 27, 1916 – May 22, 2006
William G. Duling, 89, of Arnold, died of complications from a stroke May 22 at Future Care-Chesapeake in Arnold.
Born Aug. 27, 1916, and reared in Gormania, W.Va., Mr. Duling was a longtime resident of Dundalk prior to moving to Arnold nine years ago.
He received a teaching certificate from the former Fairmont State Teachers College in West Virginia. He worked as an inspector for Bethlehem Steel Co., retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Mr. Duling was a member of Inverness Presbyterian Church in Dundalk, and enjoyed sports, hunting and riding his bicycle.
The widower of Dorothy May Duling, he is survived by his children, Linda Brockson of Arnold and William G. Duling Jr. and Judy and Kitty Dilley, all of Oakland in Garrett County; one sister, Betty Moore of Sumner, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be private.
