William Richard DeOrazio, 68, of Arnold, died of natural causes Feb. 23 at the Spa Creek Center, Genesis Eldercare Network, after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 6, 1937, and reared in Schenectady, N.Y., Mr. DeOrazio served in the Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked as a computer engineer for IBM for 25 years until retiring.
Previously a resident of York-town Heights, N.Y., he enjoyed playing golf and cooking.
His wife, Doris J. DeOrazio, died in 1997. He was the father of the late Susan DeOrazio.
Surviving are one son, William Richard DeOrazio Jr. of Glen Burnie; one sister, Judy Burke of Schenectady; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, followed by funeral services. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Route 3 N., Gambrills, MD 21054.
