William Burton Jr.
William E. Burton Jr., 66, of Pasadena, died of cancer Jan. 23 at Harbor Hospital Center after a brief illness.
Born May 27, 1940, in Baltimore, Mr. Burton was reared in Severna Park.
He retired from the State of Maryland, where he worked as an electrical supervisor for 43 years. He was a volunteer firefighter at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department for 51 years.
He was a member of the Glen Burnie Sportsmen's Hunting and Fishing Club and the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine M. Burton; two sons, William E. Burton III of Williamsburg, Va. and Kenneth F. Burton of Severna Park; one daughter, Gail Ann Burton of Pasadena; two brothers, Robert W. Burton of Marydel in Caroline County and Guy A. Burton of Glen Burnie; one sister, Ethel Mae Green of Jessup; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
