Warren Anthony DeFazio, 82, a resident of Annapolis, passed away on November 4, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, due to complications from Alzheimer's.
He was born on December 31, 1932 in Moosic, Pennsylvania and raised both in Moosic and in Detroit, Michigan. He previously lived at McGuire AFB; NJ, Plattsburgh, NY; Moscow, PA; Lady Lake, FL; and most recently, Annapolis.
Warren received his Master of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Plattsburgh. He served for 21 years in the US Air Force and ranked as Senior Master Sergeant. He was a Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Maintenance at DeFazio Express.
He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association; a collector of model airplanes and cars; and a coin collector. Warren played baseball his entire career in the military. He was an avid snow skier, loved boating, playing golf, and was a world traveler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June DeFazio (nee Buckley).
He is survived by his son, Scott DeFazio (daughter-in-law Renee) of Annapolis; daughter, Ruth DeFazio of The Villages, FL; son, Chris DeFazio (daughter-in-law Susan) of Laytonsville; brother, Fred DeFazio of Scotch Plains, NJ; grandson, Derek DeFazio and granddaughter, Alyssa DeFazio; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, with a Funeral Service to begin at 7:30 pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington.
