Wanda Eleanor Murray, affectionately known as Sis, passed peacefully into God's hands on March 21. Sis was born on Nov 22, 1922 and raised in Cape St. Claire, Annapolis, Maryland. She was the daughter of John and Bella "Mom" Novosel, who moved to the Cape in 1919. Her father was the overseer of the Farnham Farm located on Hampton RD. Sis graduated from Annapolis High School and worked for the government in Washington D.C. during World War II. Upon returning to Annapolis from Washington, she worked for the Anne Arundel County Government for a number of years. Sis also had several businesses in Cape St. Claire. She owned the Angel Miss Hair Salon for 10 yrs; she and her husband Tom ran the Cape Hardware Store for several years; and for the last 22 years, she was the co-owner with her daughter Bonnie of Bella's Bar and Seafood Restaurant.

Sis and her husband Tommy resided in the Cape St. Claire area. She loved planting flowers, tending her garden, antiques, and animals. Her greatest joy was her daughter Bonnie, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to entertain, and there are many, many people who remember the wonderful parties at her pool and in her home, and she was famous for her potato salad and her fried chicken.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bella Novosel; her father, John Novosel; her brother, Joseph Novosel; and her sister, Bea Schweitzer.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Murray; daughter, Eleanor "Bonnie" Morgan; her grandchildren, Angel Rust, Missy Creel & Jay (Barbara) Morgan; her great grandchildren, Amanda, Steven, Ryan, John, Will, Lauren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The legacy she leaves behind is one of love of family and friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy, Annapolis, MD 21401.

A celebration of life will held on Satutday March 31, 2012 at 3:00pm at 1223 River Bay Rd. Annapolis, MD 21409.
