Walter Jerome Rzepkowski, Sr. passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021, just five days before his 92nd birthday. Rest in peace, Dad – Pop.

Born in Baltimore on January 19, 1929 to the late Joseph and Josephine Rzepkowski, Walter was a lifelong resident of Pasadena, raising a family of eight children with his late wife of 63 years, Veronica Catherine (nee Gnacyk).

Walter had eight children: Dolores Schlein (Kenneth Jr.), Walter Jr., Robert, Kenneth (Catherine), Donna Coberly (Rick), Steven, the Honorable Alan M. Rzepkowski, and the Honorable James E. Rzepkowski (Laura); 18 grandchildren: Kenneth Schlein III (April), Michael Schlein (Erin), Kenneth Jr. (Mandy), Christine Herrman (David), Thomas Schlein, Walter III, Kevin, Andrew Schlein (Genna), Keith (deceased), James Coberly (deceased), Mark (Amber), Grace, Scott Coberly, Lauren Gossard (William), Matthew, Lily, Brian, and Meghan; and ten great grandchildren: Kyle Schlein, Sarah Schlein, Nicholas Schlein, Brandon, Makenna, Landon Herrman, Samantha Schlein, Kennedy Herrman, Christopher Schlein, and Bradley.

Walter was a successful business owner and entrepreneur, and also served honorably in the Maryland National Guard, attaining the rank of Major. He is a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. M.J. McGivney Council #7025 in Glen Burnie and a Life Member of both the Maryland State and Anne Arundel Licensed Beverage Associations. Walter and Veronica built their home in Pasadena in 1955, and it has always been a welcoming place to their immediate and extended family and friends with an untold number of holiday gatherings, family celebrations, and summer parties.

Friends may visit on Sunday January 17, 2021 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday January 18, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 6405 S. Orchard Rd. Linthicum, MD. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Baltimore, MD.

Coronavirus Restrictions - Updated - Effective 11/24/2020

MASKS ARE REQUIRED- Everyone must wear a mask that cover both the nose and mouth when inside the funeral home. Masks are also required outside of the funeral home when you cannot m aintain a distance of 6 feet from other people.

Attendance for Visitations at the Funeral Home is limited to 40 people at any one time. Our staff will monitor attendance and assist visitors if there is a wait to enter the funeral home.
