Vivian Marie Claypool, 83, a resident of Severna Park, died peacefully at home on November 3, 2008.
She was born on June 29, 1925 in Tyndall, South Dakota and raised in Yankton, South Dakota and previously lived in Minneapolis, MN, Denver, CO, and San Marino, CA.
She attended the University of Minnesota and Goucher College.
Mrs. Claypool was a homemaker. She was a member of D.C. Hand Dance Club, Republican Womens Club, Annapolis Yacht Club, Fleet Reserve Club, and Lets Dance Social Club. She was a volunteer at Treasure of the Chesapeake (Hospice store) and she sponsored "Japanese Flower Arrangement" classes at her home.
She enjoyed dancing, Japanese Flower Arranging, boating and music.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Charles G. Claypool of Severna Park,; two sons, Jeffery C. Claypool of Berlin, MD and David A. Claypool of Owings Mills, MD; grandson, Charles A. Claypool of Valdosta, GA; and granddaughter, Savannah M. Claypool of Valdosta, GA.
Services are private.
