VIRTUDES NODAR, 105, resident of Annapolis, MD since 2004, died in her home on February 9th, 2014.
She was born June 23rd, 1908, in La Coru a, Spain; her past residences include Huntington, N.Y., Woodside, N.Y., Madrid, Spain, and Havana, Cuba.
A devoted Catholic, Virtudes is the daughter of the late Juan Sanchez and Antonia Abucide and had four siblings all deceased. Virtudes married Jos Nodar (deceased) and raised a daughter and two nieces and a nephew.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Josefina and Allan Lipnicki of Annapolis; granddaughter and her husband, Caroline and Childs Walker of Ellicott City; two great-grandsons, Henry and Thomas and nieces Alicia Rodriguez, of Los Angeles, CA and Luz Eidenmuller, of Hermosa Beach, CA and a nephew Juan O. Sanchez of Pembroke Pines, FL.
The most important things in her life were God and family. She leaves a legacy of faith and love and will be missed and remembered by everyone who knew her.A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A., Severna Park Funeral Home. A service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:30am at St. Andrews by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.
