Virginia Taylor of Severna Park, MD died peacefully on January 2, 2013, at the age of 84, following a long illness.

Ginnie was born in Pittsburgh, PA where she attended the University of Pittsburgh and the Carnegie-Mellon University. She taught piano with dedication, joy and enthusiasm as a member of the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association and the Suzuki Association of Pittsburgh. Ginnie was also the author of four innovative books on piano theory and technique. She enjoyed travel, including two sabbaticals overseas with her pediatrician husband and children, gardening, listening to music, and beating her husband at Scrabble.

Ginnie was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Harriet Kazorski and by her brother Stanley. She is survived by her sister, Ligia Wiegand of Miami, FL, by her husband of 57 years, Paul M. Taylor and by four children; Terri Taylor of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul M.Taylor, Jr. of Ashuelot, NH, Jonathan H. Taylor of Aspen, CO, and Kirsten Taylor-Louie of Severna Park, MD and grandsons Warren and James Louie.

A viewing will take place at Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, from 6-8 pm on Friday, January 4th, 2013. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Annapolis on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at 9 am to be followed by a reception in Severna Park.
