Virginia Dare Snyder (nee Comer), of Severna Park, died on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born on June 23, 1917 in Baltimore and married Richard A. Snyder on May 9th 1937. Mrs. Snyder's past residences include Essex, MD and McClure, PA, where she was a longtime resident. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Red Hat Ladies at Heartlands Assisted Living Facility and the McClure Methodist Church. Mrs. Snyder loved being with her family and friends, as well as playing Bingo and Uno.
She is survived by her son Norman G. Snyder, of Stevensville, four grandchildren, Kenneth R. Snyder, Jr., Wendy A. Knowles, Scott N. Snyder, and Robert N. Snyder, and seven great grandchildren, Kenneth III, Eric, Karah, Owen, Drew, Kaitlyn, and Lucas.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Comer, and mother of the late Kenneth R. Snyder. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Marvin and Louis Comer, and three sisters, Margaret Treaster, Edith Hopple, and Irene Comer.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, July 12th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday, July 13th from 9-10 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, 21146. Services will follow at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment at Glen Haven Cemetery.
