Virginia Marie Marcuson, of Severna Park, passed away on January 26, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 18, 1930 to John and Agnes Shiroky in Severna Park, MD where she was raised. She attended Pasadena Elementary School, then later attended and graduated from Glen Burnie High School. She worked for Citi Corp Financial and was one of the original Ladies of the Auxiliary for Earleigh Heights Fire Department. Virginia loved yard work and her flower gardens, was an avid reader, had numerous craft projects and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and watching the Orioles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Shiroky, her son Frederick E. Marcuson III; her brothers Joseph and Gilbert Shiroky; as well as her sister, Marie Brockmeyer. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth A. Brower and her husband James Brower of Severna Park, and her daughter-in-law Deborah Marcuson of Lancaster, PA.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 1:00-3:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD, 21122.
