On July 22, 2010, Virginia Patterson (nee) Scheuff, 76, departed this world for that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. She fought against the effects of COPD and other illnesses for almost six years and may now rest. Ginger was born in New Rochelle, NY and resided in Severna Park, MD for the last 32 years.
Ginger was a wonderful homemaker and Air Force wife. After military life, she became active in Severna Park's Chapter # 117 Order of the Eastern Star and was elected Worthy Matron for the 1986-'87 term. She was also active in the International Order of Job's Daughters as Bethel Guardian of Bethel # 40 in Severna Park and served as Grand Guardian of Maryland for the 1990-'91 term. Ginger mostly enjoyed a quiet evening with a good book. She also traveled extensively with Jim whenever possible to promote Job's Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents Malvina and Howard Scheuff.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Jim, daughter Beth Ann Kiessling, and grandchildren Laura Ashley Grinavic and James "Tony" Grinavic, who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. OES and IOJD Ceremonies will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, with prayers to follow.
