Virginia Gathman

Virginia Estelle Gathman, 64, of Severna Park, died of endometrial cancer June 19 at her home after a two year illness.

Mrs. Gathman was born Nov. 6, 1942, and reared in Baltimore, and was a homemaker.

She also worked as a tax preparer and was an enrolled agent, a federally-authorized tax practitioner with technical expertise in the field of taxation and empowered by the Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections and appeals.

Surviving are her husband, George F. Gathman; three children, Amy Gebhard of Fairfax, Va., Greg Gathman of Germantown and Melissa Henderson of Bel Air; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park. Burial will be private.
