Virginia Dahm Boyle, 98, of Towson, MD passed away at Pickersgill Retirement Center on March 27, 2011 due to a lengthy illness.

Virginia was born to her parents, George and Marion Dahm on December 23, 1912 in Baltimore, MD. She married Harry S. Boyle, Jr. in 1947 and resided in the community of Homeland in Baltimore. She later resided at the Cambridge Apartments in Baltimore, prior to moving to Pickersgill in 2005.

Mrs. Boyle was employed as an administrative assistant with the C & P Telephone Company and was a volunteer at the Mother Seton House for many years, as well as, a volunteer at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen library. She was a member of the Homeland Garden Club, the Three Arts Club (Homeland) and The Women's Club of Roland Park. She enjoyed playing bridge and creating decoupage bags.

Mrs. Boyle is survived by her daughter, Tina Boyle Moran of Lutherville and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Boyle, Jr. and her sister, Catherine Dahm Thompson.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10:00am at the Pickersgill Retirement Center, 615 Chestnut Avenue Towson, MD 21204. Burial will be private. Virginia Boyle, a retired Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone administrative assistant who belonged to bridge clubs, died of pneumonia Sunday at Pickersgill Retirement Community. She was 98.
Born Virginia Dahm in Baltimore and raised on Calvert Street, she was a 1931 Seton High School graduate. She attended what is now Towson University.


She was an administrative assistant with the old C&P Telephone Co. in downtown Baltimore and was a volunteer at the Mother Seton House on Paca Street. She was also a volunteer at the library of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, where she was a member.
Mrs. Doyle belonged to the Homeland Garden Club, the Three Arts Club of Homeland and the Woman's Club of Roland Park.
She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several clubs. She also made decoupage handbags.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pickersgill, 615 Chestnut Ave.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Boyle Moran of Lutherville. Harry S. Boyle Jr., her husband of 33 years who headed C&P's public relations department, died in 1980.
