Virginia Aubrey

Virginia Rose Aubrey, 88, of Millersville, died of natural causes Jan. 19 at her home after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 27, 1916, and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Aubrey formerly lived in Georgetown in Washington, D.C., from 1945 to 1990 and at Leisure World in Silver Spring from 1990 to 2004. In 2004 she moved to her daughter's home in Millersville.

In February 1945 she married Jerald W. Aubrey, who died in 1978. While he was a pilot in the Army Air Corps in World War II, she worked in the administrative offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Before retiring in 1979, she managed the East Campus Corner Bookstore at Georgetown University.

She was past president of the National Alliance of Senior Citizens.

Her interests included following and keeping current with politics and family.

She was the mother of Paula Ann Aubrey who died in 1946 and the grandmother of Donald Castleberry who died in 1997.

Surviving are one daughter, Suzanne M. Castleberry of Millersville; three grandchildren; and two great-grand-
sons.

Services will be held at a later date in Pittsburgh. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.
