Victor F. Schuler, 82, a resident of Arnold, died April 28, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to natural causes.

He was born on June 23, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, where he was raised and graduated from Knox College in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Schuler served in the U.S. Army as Army Intelligence from 1951-1953 and served at the Pentagon.

He was a production planner for Kaiser Aluminum in Halethorpe, MD, where he met his wife. In addition to the Halethorpe location, he worked in Dolton, IL and Sherman, TX.

He loved to play golf, travel, the Chicago Bears, and the White Sox.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2006, Mary Jean Schuler, whom he married on June 17, 1960. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty.

He is survived by his son, Guy R. Schaeffer of Newton, KS; two grandsons, William Schaeffer of New Windsor and Thomas Schaeffer of West Plains, MS; one granddaughter, Stephanie Carboneau of Greensboro, NC; and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy, Annapolis, MD 21401.
