Victor Lawrence Love passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. He was 89.

Victor was born on July 25, 1936, in Prince George’s County Maryland to Lilly Wheeler Love and William Franklin Love. He grew up in Cheverly, MD and attended Bladensburg High School before serving in the Navy and then attending CREI (now known as Capital College) where he earned his degree in Electrical Technology.

Victor served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was an Electrician’s mate onboard a mine sweeper. He married his high school sweetheart, Gale R. Love (née Roberts). After working for many years as a technology specialist for IBM, he retired.

He enjoyed power boating and had a great interest in model trains. Throughout his life he lived in Lanham, MD, Owings, MD and St. Thomas, PA before eventually settling in Severna Park.

Victor is survived by his children, William Love of Severna Park, MD, Michael Love of Loris, SC, and Sharon Linkous of Owings, MD, as well as seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life for both Victor and Gale will be held Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 12 noon at the American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Rd., Severna Park, MD 21146. Lunch will be served.
