Vernie Lee White (nee Pennington), 80, a 45 year resident of Severna Park, MD, died on March 25, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to heart failure after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 5, 1929 in Ruddle, West Virginia, where she was raised.
Mrs. White was a homemaker and life time mother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and mothering.
She was preceded in death by her husband, French White, Jr., who died in 2001, and her late parents, Edward and Cecila Pennington.
Survivors include her four sons, Randy D. White of Candler, NC, Rickey L. White of Crofton, MD, Dennis F. White of Severna Park, MD, and Joseph M. White of Narrows, VA; her siblings, Ben Pennington of Yulee, FL, Marvel Morlen of Wiley Ford, WV, and Ann Pennington; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 29, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and oat Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 30 at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.
