Vera G. Kincer (nee Porpora), 70, a resident of Arnold, died July 20, 2008, after a lengthy illness due to Lupus, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Mrs. Kincer was born September 20, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Anthony J. Porpora and late Vera Farber Porpora, and was raised in Baltimore.

She was the wife of Ellis L. Kincer, whom she had married on August 29, 1970 and lived in Arnold for the past 36 years.

Mrs. Kincer worked as a bank teller for Union Trust and Laurel Federal and was a former school bus driver for Jones of Annapolis.

She was a longtime member of Belvedere Yacht Club and former First Lady of Chesapeake Commodores' Club. She enjoyed horseback riding, competing in her younger years, and enjoyed roller skating and boating.

She was preceded in death by her step-mother LeVerne C. Porpora.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis L. Kincer of Arnold, MD; step-children, Steve M. Kincer of Arnold, MD, Timothy S. Kincer of Airville, PA and Patrick M. Kincer of Greensboro. MD; mother-in-law, Lola M. Halas of Severna Park, MD; daughter-in-law, Dottie M. Kincer of Red Lion, PA; grandchildren, Aimee York of Red Lion, PA, Brian K. Feuerstein of Henderson, MD, Stephen M. Kincer of Arnold, MD and Justin A. Kincer of Greensboro, MD; great-grandchildren, Austin S. York and Elizabeth J.York of Red Lion, PA; sister, Beverly Porpora Waller of Richmond, VA; stepbrother, Harry Clarke of Port St. Lucie, FL. Also, survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Family and friends may visit for a memorial visitation on Sunday, July 27 from 5-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 27 at 7 pm.
