IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyler Scott
Handley
December 30, 1988 – August 26, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Tyler Handley announce his passing.
Tyler Scott Handley, born December 30, 1988, passed away suddenly on August 26, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV.
Born in Severna Park, MD Tyler was a 2006 graduate of Severna Park High School. He went on to study Kinesiology at the University of Maryland, College Park graduating in 2010. While attending college Tyler became a certified personal trainer at Golds Gym in Crofton, MD helping people achieve their goals and feel better about themselves and their overall health. He also worked as a bartender at the Thirsty Turtle located on the college campus.
After graduating, Tyler pursued his passion for fitness & health and became a small business owner in 2014 founding Total Athlete Nutrition in Pasadena, MD. Shortly thereafter he grew his business opening two additional locations — one in Rosedale, MD and then another in Columbia, MD. Tyler was the face of his Pasadena store and customers knew that Tyler would provide honest information about the products that he sold so Pasadena became his largest customer-based location.
Cryptocurrency fascinated Tyler and he spent much of his time learning how to invest and trade on its platforms while sharing his knowledge with others. He had also been recently introduced to Central Church in Henderson, NV where he enjoyed attending regularly on Sundays with his friends. For those that knew him well knew that you could always find Tyler at his second home —the gym.
Tyler's life may have been short, but it was well lived. He lived it passionately and fully both in work and with his friends. His outlook on life was a positive one and his smile and laugh lit up the room when he entered it. Tyler's presence will be greatly missed by all who know him.
Tyler is preceded in death by his father Stephen Handley, survived by Cheryl G. Handley, mother, (nee Vaughan), Todd Dillow, brother, Jen Trexler and their three children, Madalyn Dillow, Ella Dillow and Cannon Dillow; also survived by his aunt Karen A. Brandt.
There will be a private viewing at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Severna Park and Tyler will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Cemetery in Glen Burnie, MD alongside his father.
