Mark Anthony "Tony" Grifo, Jr., 19, of Millersville, died suddenly April 27 at his home.

Born Oct. 18, 1987, in Baltimore, Mr. Grifo moved to Shipley's Choice in Millersville at age 7 and played sports for the Green Hornets.

A 2005 graduate of Severna Park High School, he was a sophomore at the University of Maryland.

He had worked at Be Beep a Toy Store in Severna Park, and loved reading, music, writing and drawing.

Surviving are his parents, Mark A. Grifo Sr. and Jennifer Kay Grifo of Millersville; one brother, Curt Grifo, and one sister, Jillian Grifo, of Millersville; his grandparents, Joan and George Kay of Severna Park and Barbra and Tony Grifo of Wooster, Ohio; and his great-grandmother, Downing Kay of Towson.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chartwell Country Club, 1 Chartwell Drive, Severna Park. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
