Tony S. Alascio, 86, of Annapolis, died of heart failure March 21 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore.
Born June 15, 1920, and reared in Baltimore, Mr. Alascio served in the Army in World War II and the Korean War. Twice wounded in combat, he received the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
After leaving the Army, he worked for the Baltimore City Highway Department.
He had a companion dog, Sport.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary C. Bunyard of Aloha, Ore., and Josephine Brill and Dorothy McBee of Hanover, Pa.; and a niece, Mary B. Peterson of Annapolis with whom he lived since 1996.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church, 855 Chestnut Tree Drive, Annapolis, MD 21409.
