We are mourning the sudden loss of Tomas Patrick Eisenberg, resident of Edgewater, Maryland, who went home to be with God on October 3, 2019 at the age of 50. Tom was away with dear friends when he died in a tragic accident in the Outer Banks off the coast of North Carolina.

Tom was born on January 1, 1969 in Albany, New York to Fredric and Patricia Eisenberg. He grew up in Marcellus, N.Y. and attended Ithaca College where he earned his marketing degree. Later, he received his MBA from The Simon Business School at the University of Rochester. He was a respected and talented expert in the mattress and bedding industry in which he worked for more than 20 years.

On August 28, 1993, Tom married his childhood best friend and love, Melissa Elizabeth Santos, in Skaneateles, N.Y. They recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary. They raised three children in Connecticut and then in Maryland-- Matthew (21), Caroline (19), and William (13). Tom was a devoted father, loving husband, and faithful friend who lit up the room with his warm smile, great laugh, and easy going manner. Tom loved basketball and one of  his greatest joys was coaching his children's teams, including William's team at St. John the Evangelist School. He was beloved in his family, among his friends, and in his community.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Fred. He is survived by Melissa and their three children, Matthew, Caroline, and William, his mother, Pat, his two brothers, Peter and Brian, five nieces and two nephews, and several cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A reception will follow at the Parish Activities Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist School, at 669 Ritchie Hwy., Severna Park, Maryland 21146.
