Timothy Edward Stansbury, 71, of Millersville, MD, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends.

Tim was born to the late Robert and Therese Stansbury, February 9, 1944, in Annapolis, MD. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1962 and received a Mechanical Engineering degree from General Motors Institute in 1968. He married Marilyn Mansfield in 1968. In addition to living in Maryland they also lived in Flint, MI; Edmond, OK; San Ramon, CA; and Alpharetta, GA, before returning to Millersville in 2002.

Tim's career came full circle in 2006 as he retired as plant manager from the Baltimore General Motors assembly plant, the same place he began his career 42 years earlier. Following GM, he consulted for several companies before starting Severn Run Insurance Associates to assist local businesses with their insurance needs.

Tim spent his days enjoying family and life-long friends, cheering for the Ravens and Orioles, spending time on his boat, watching NASCAR, playing golf, and adoring his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn; son Timothy, his wife Carri; son Ryan, his wife Lindy and their two children Allyson and Palmer; brothers Robert and Douglas Stansbury; sisters Therese Horwath, Roberta Anne Newell, Patricia Erdelatz and Jane Hamblin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Friday July 31, 2015 from 5-8:00pm at the Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:30am in the Our Lady of the Fields Cathoilc Church 1070 Cecil Ave Millersville, MD 21108.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
