Thomas Towle
Thomas Lawlor Towle, 55, of Lewisville, N.C., died of a heart attack Jan. 4 at Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Born July 21, 1951, in Patterson, N.J., and the son of the late Richard Burton and Marcella Lawlor Towle, Mr. Towle graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School in Newport, R.I., and earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Towle worked in the insurance industry, which took him to Los Angeles, New Jersey and finally Seattle, Wash., in 1978, where he rose to become senior vice-president of Johnson and Higgins He retired in 1999 to follow his dream to live in Ireland, which he did until 2005.
He was active in church parishes wherever he resided and his interests included sports.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Noon Towle; two sons, Richard Hoffmann of Catonsville and Timothy Towle of the home; and two brothers, Richard E. Towle of Stockton, N.J., and Michael D. Towle of Severna Park.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will follow in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
