Thomas Pollard, a cherished brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Millersville, MD on September 4, 2024, after a long and admirable battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was predeceased by his father and mother, Clarence Everett Pollard and Helen Maria Pollard. He is survived by his partner, Maggie Caldwell of Millsboro, DE; his sister Vickie Pollard Lascola of Arnold, MD; his two sons, Brent Pollard and wife Kristin of Evans, GA, Glenn Pollard and wife Julia of Crownsville, MD; two beloved and cherished grandchildren, Calvin and Whitney; and his darling yorkie, Pippa.
Tom was born at Franklin Square Hospital on December 23, 1947. He attended Brooklyn Park High School where he played football and baseball. After high school, he entered the military service where he proudly served in the United States Air Force Security Service before transitioning to the National Security Agency, which spanned the entirely of his remaining ~40-year career.
Tom was a proud and dedicated soccer, basketball and baseball dad and had a love for all-things sports, but especially baseball and football. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and always enjoyed visiting some of his favorite local watering holes where he could often be found playing his lucky Keno numbers.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial visitation will be held September 18, 2024 at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation care,P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom Pollard's memory may be directed to Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD.
