Thomas I. Kauffman, 88, died on March 1, 2016. Thomas and his twin brother Frank were born on July 29, 1927 in Michigan. He was raised in Severna Park and went to Annapolis High School. He was a Veteran of 2 Wars. Thomas went into the Navy (World War II) right out of high school, returned home, went to PA Military College, and then served in the Korean War.

He loved sailing and riding his bicycle all over Maryland. He loved working with wood and he made many beautiful things.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father Irvin (Abbie) H. Kauffman and mother, C. Grace Kauffman; twin brother; Frank H. Kauffman; and brother, Robert Kauffman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Kauffman; step-son Edward Loudenslager; 2 stepgrandchildren; 5 stepgreat- grandchildren; and nephew Frank Kauffman Jr.

A viewing will be held at Monday, March 7, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 PM & 7:00-9:00 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Rd, Arnold, MD. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
