Thomas Bunt
Thomas J. Bunt, 59, of Pasadena, died of accidental drowning Oct. 27 at his home.
Born May 17, 1947, and reared in Pittsfield, Mass., Mr. Bunt previously lived in Arnold and Severna Park. He received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and a graduate degree from George Washington University.
He retired from the National Security Agency as chief of the V5 Key Management Infrastructure Office after 30 years of service. For the past five years he worked for Johnson & Johnson as director of worldwide information security.
Mr. Bunt enjoyed fishing and other water activities with his two grandsons as well as boating, kayaking, woodworking and NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Sally A. Bunt; one daughter, Jennifer Anderson of Olney; one son, Thomas M. Bunt of San Ramon, Calif.; his mother, Mildred Bunt of Amherst, Mass.; one sister, Nancy Ashman of South Deerfield, Mass.; and two grandsons. He was the son of the late Morton J. Bunt.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
