IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thérèse M.
Gardner
June 25, 1946 – March 27, 2024
The world has become a lesser place as a result of the passing of much loved Thérèse Mary Gardner, 77, of Severna Park, Maryland. Born in Ireland, she and her younger brother Eugene were raised during their formative years in London by their widowed mother, Sarah. From school she went into nursing and graduated as a State Registered Nurse at Charing Cross Hospital. After her marriage in 1970, she travelled the world with her husband, before settling in USA and becoming a US citizen. Following the loss of her 15 year old son Christopher to cancer she gave up nursing and pursued a successful career as a real estate agent. Thérèse will be missed for her kindness and consideration of other people and her strong sense of humor and fun. Her passing will also leave a space at the top of the bridge table and remove a frequent blue ribbon winner from the Annapolis May flower competition. She died peacefully in her home after a very long battle against her illness. Thérèse is survived by John, her husband of 53 years, and her daughter Siobhan.
A memorial Mass will be offered on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate/ and/or the Children's Cancer Foundation https://childrenscancerfoundation.org/
