Thelma Elizabeth Rendina, 87, of Severna Park, died of heart failure April 22 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born April 16, 1917, in Scranton, Pa., Mrs. Rendina was raised in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
She joined with the SPARS during World War II, the Coast Guard Women's Auxiliary, and was one of the first contingents to be posted in Hawaii. Following her military service, she moved to Ohio and became a legal secretary for the law office of Lombardo, Lombardo and LaPrestia in Cleveland. She moved to Severna Park in the 1960s and worked as a talent agent for the entertainment industry.
Her hobby was collecting teddy bears.
Surviving are one son, Ronald A. Rendina of Severna Park; and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, followed at 11 a.m. by a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery in Glen Burnie.
