Thelma Lee Lenderman, 89, of Severna Park, passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1936, in Clymer, PA to Harry and Gladys (neé Hill) Long.
Thelma grew up in Dundalk, MD, and graduated from Sparrows Point High School. She would go on to work for Bethlehem Steel company's Patapsco and Back Rivers Railroad Co. as a secretary. She was active in Dundalk Presbyterian Church and later in Towson Presbyterian Church. She married William Rex Lenderman who graduated from Washington College and worked for Mercantile Savings and Loan Bank and later PNC Bank.
She was a member of the Center Club of Baltimore and in her spare time she enjoyed arranging floral displays, antiquing, gardening, playing tennis, traveling and going to the theatre.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Lenderman, and four siblings; Hayes Long, Lila Stout, Richard Long, and Nelson Long.
She is survived by her two sisters, Wilma L. Heck, of Severna Park, MD, and Joyce E. Anderson, of Bel Air, MD. Thelma is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025 at 1:00pm at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Rd Bel Air MD, 21014.
